It is very common for an organization to have begun their digital transformation by scanning files in PDF or TIFF formats to folders on hard drives or a share (folder) on the network. Often the original intention is to create a digital archive of documents for risk migration and possible reference in the future.
Commonly the image file name is a date-time stamp generated by the scanning device. These file names give no clue of the files content. The result is not a structured archive but rather a “documess.” Thus, searching thru the archive to find the needed file can be an ineffective, time consuming, and expensive process, like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
To prevent tampering you scanned many documents in TIFF format. How you want better organize those files. DigiTrans can help.
Getting a new content management system? You want to import and OCR the existing files. Fantastic until you learn TIFF files can't be OCR'd. DigiTrans can help.
